When John & Janice decided to retire in 2002, they had spent most of their married life travelling around Africa, so it seemed almost natural to open what has become Franschhoek’s Leading African Art and Décor Gallery. Having Soul of Africa in Franschhoek has allowed them to continue with their passion of African Travel to source unique and unusual gifts.

All the pieces in Soul of Africa have been selected by Janice and John is always on hand to restore the older pieces to their original glory. Kate, their daughter manages Soul of Africa and is very knowledgeable in the world of African Art. Soul of Africa has a very good working relationship with a local company of International Shippers thus enabling all pieces to be packed, insured and shipped anywhere in the world.
